If you are using
windows 8 operating system but you have not installed .net framework 3.5 on
your pc then you will get an error .net framework 3.5 missing on your computer
while installing software. And because of that you cannot install any software
in windows 8 operating system.3.5 is lower version of .net framework which was
used in windows 7 and lower version of windows operating system. In windows 8
by default .net framework 4.0 is installed. There is too many software
available which not supports 4.0 .net framework. If you want to install those
software then you must have to install .net framework 3.5 manually in
windows8.In this article I will explain how you can install .net framework 3.5
in windows 8.Two ways are available for install .net framework 3.5 on windows
8.
1: DOWNLOAD .NET FRAMEWORK FROM INTERNET AND INSTALL IT ON WINDOWS 8
If you have
good internet connection then you can download .net framework 3.5 from internet
and install it. For that purpose you have to follow the given steps.
Step1 :-> navigate the path Control Panel\All Control
Panel Items\Programs and Features in file explorer.
Step2 :-> click on Turn windows feature on or off which pop up a new window as given bellow
Step 3 :-> select .net framework3.5 (includes .net 2.0
and 3.0) as given in above image.
Step4 :-> press ok. If your computer is connected to the
internet then .net framework will be installed on windows 8
But if your
computer is not connected to internet then you will get an error wile
installing it on windows 8.Sometimes it may happen that your computer is
connected to internet and also you are getting an error that your pc is not
connected to internet. So I have a another way through which you can install
.net framework 3.5 offline on windows 8.
2: OFFLINE INSTALLATION OF .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 ON WINDOWS 8
For offline installation of .net
framework you must require windows 8 source from which you have installed
windows 8 on your pc. If you have image file of windows 8 then you must have to
mount it with cd drive.
Step1 :-> Run command prompt as administrator.
Fire the following command DISM /Online
/Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:H:\sources\sxs
Note: make sure that after source: you have to give a path
of windows 8 source. Here I have mount image file to h drive so I have mentioned
path H: H:\sources\sxs
When you fire this command then installation of .net framework will
start and it takes 5 – 10 minutes to complete the installation.
